Sunday Blast from the Past – November 2009

The next image that I’d like to show and give a quick tutorial of the lighting used is this one from November 2009 with Rob over in Maidstone. Rob is a fellow photographer who we met through a collaboration website.
This image was actually shot in Rob’s kitchen and I used a small 2foot softbox right in front of him. The ambient light was pretty bright that day so I used an ISO of only 50 to cut out all that extra light. The strobe I used was a small sigma flashgun with pop up softbox. An aperture of  f/3.5 was used with a shutter speed of 1/160th to further cut out the ambient light.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask and if there is something you’d like me to cover then I’d be more than happy to.

I am also doing a lighting workshop as part of my home village of Pluckley’s creative fair, it only costs £5, which covers their expenses and I’ll be going all kinds of lighting setups and equipment. Its on June 14th at 7:30pm and you can register by going here
