London Photoshoot

A couple weeks ago we met up with our good friends Holli and Yianni in London for a location shoot in Clissold park. It was a brisk day – difficult to keep makeup from running – but Jessie and Holli switched outfits quickly and I kept up the pace.

The London wind was insistent, so it was a good thing Yianni was there to hold down the reflector. Due to the fast moving clouds, the sun was very bright so we used a gold reflector now and then to keep the girls looking warm.

Holli and Jessie wore layers and mixed patterns and tones. Moving around the park we found large trees, willows, a pond, and rescued dead trees re-purposed as benches. The changing autumn colours and varying locations fit in well with this season’s jewel tones and the tailored jackets the girls wore.

The visit and shoot were a success, aside from the odd Hackney parking violation! I think the shoot is in trend with high street autumn clothes and was a good experience in coordination for us all. However it was great to get back into the warms of the studio in Ashford. Winter is coming and hopefully I’ll get out again so I can do some more outdoor portrait photography as well as the winter weddings thats are incoming.
